I was looking for a fast pace game for my son and I too play. All of my online game has been rtcw thats it, I download steam and then bought the game for 29.99 haven't been able to do anything else. The people on this server have made me feel at home and to tell you the truth I only play on this server. I sould look at some other one but why this server skill leave and rules r the best for my son and me. so that all I have to say.

Once upon a time, a wee little lad went over to a certain electronics store that doesn't buy advertising on this site and bought this spectacular little package on sale known as "Orange Box". Nothing spectacular was initially found. This lad played some fantastic Portal, a bit of Day of Defeat, and a nice chunk of Team Fortress 2. Counter Strike didn't excite me- err him at all.
Then, Half-Life 2 was next on the list and that kiddo started to grow up. Such an enthralling story that depicts such a realistic dystopian future that he would have nightmares of sudden combine assaults! As the game progressed into episode 1 and 2, I saw the reality of it all. The combines have won the war on the human race and have indeed enslaved us. We were actually in our own false reality a la The Matrix.
Once the historical simulation ended abruptly at Episode 2, I knew what my destiny was to be. I would have to help fight the war in a rebellion known as Deathmatch. I enlisted in the 3rd Infantry division, also known as the [DRS] Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Now I have been fighting the good fight for a long time and I see hope on the horizon. FREEDOM!

It all started when I was 16 years old, cruising around from game to game looking for the next thrill. Every day I'd seem to find some cool little web game the was funish, but with in 5 minutes I would have beaten the game be plunged into a sea of boredom. When it would become unbearable, I would turn to Youtube to make me laugh. One day I came across an internet film called "War of the Servers". The strange thing was that it had characters from a previously played game called Half Life 2, there was no way that this was a console game. I knew that I'd hit something Big. The game was called Garry's Mod (In my opinion The greatest game ever made). It was a world were anything and every thing could be made. I bought a copy as fast as I could type. (Not very fast) I also had to by a source game so naturally I chose the Half life 2 complete pack. After installing all the necessary parts I was about to play when I saw that there was an extra game which turned out to be Half Life 2 Deathmatch. My curiosity got the better of me and I dove head first into a sold brick wall. (translation: I found out that I sucked.) I went from server to server looking for a place to play. At first I thought about joining a clan like 51/50 or |TW| but it was weird so I kept looking. Then one day I saw a server that was playing a map thet I really liked but as I went to click on it, I missed and hit the one right below it. Can you guess the name of the server that I clicked on was? AFB. Where I immediately tried to spawn kill John Doe. The result was a swift bullet to the brain and a slap on the wrist. I was hooked on this server which actually had rules which made the game fair but I will never forget the first time I met Jane Doe. She was the one I could always count on to be Target Practice for me. and so I've been here ever since.

Player Q: I have been playing here a little lately and i am curious as to why people get banned for things like bunny hopping and using the toggle zoom?
Wuss A: We are trying to make this server a fun place to play for all skill levels. If a new person comes in (we get tons of them) and they're trying learn the basics, they'll get frustrated and just quit when they get womped on at a 40:1 kill ratio by someone who is bhopping circles around them, repeatedly sniping them in their spawn point from afar, spawn camping, attacking them while they spawn, or when they come out of spawn, etc. It just helps us retain more of the newer folks and casual players who won't be able to learn these techniques in short play sessions. Some of the lighter techniques like grenade cooking, power combine balls, wall sliding, etc., are ok because they don't necessarily give a womp-ur-bottox advantage like Bhopping, strafe jumping, toggle_zoom, etc., and are lower-end techniques that can be learned a little easier
